Events to Be Aware Of!

Hello All!

Exciting news! Students for 'The Shelter' is glad to announce that we are hosting a few small fundraising events this February! They are as follows:

On February 12th, Students for 'The Shelter' will be at Jewel-Osco on Ogden and Washington in Naperville at 4pm collecting supplies and money donations for PAWS Chicago.

On February 15th, Students for 'The Shelter' will be at Jewel-Osco on 87th st. and Ridgeland in Oak Lawn at 3pm collecting supplies and money donations for PAWS Chicago.

On February 19th, Students for 'The Shelter' will host their MAIN EVENT - more details to come later.

On February 21st, Students for 'The Shelter' will be at Carol Stream Ice Rink collecting for PAWS Chicago during open skate hours.

Students for 'The Shelter' also has drop boxes at the following locations: the Peninsula Hotel in Chicago, The Velvet Touch in Hinsdale and Bark Avenue Salon in Aurora.

Any and all donations will be accepted! We really aim to make a difference with our collective donation to PAWS Chicago! Students for 'The Shelter' is glad for your participation!

Current Project

As of January 2009, Students for 'The Shelter' has decided to point our attention towards an animal welfare, specifically, a no-kill animal shelter known as 'PAWS Chicago.' We are fundraising for this organization and are committed to this group primarily because it is dedicated to a 'no-kill' policy meaning that all animals brought into the shelter will never be subjected to euthanization no matter how long their eventual stay at PAWS. This is exactly why PAWS needs assistance - maintaining a healthy living habitat for all of these dogs and cats can quickly become very expensive.
